Diana, Cal and Big Nick!

I am lucky enough to know Diana, Cal and their awesome little man Nick through my brother and sister-in-law.  Again... another perfect example of how good people are friends with GOOD people.   Diana and Cal are just so cool.. so laid back.  And they are no different with Nick, who made his debut into the world waaaay earlier than planned.   That was just about 2 years ago...and look at him now!  He's so adorable... and he knows it.  He knows how to flash a smile like the best of 'em.

It feels like ages ago that we have been planning on getting together for pictures of Nick.  They were so trusting of me when I only had a handful of shoots under my belt.  Really, I'm so grateful for that, you guys!  It was a 90 degree summer day when we talked about it...  So as I write this I'm going to pretend that it is not freeeeeezing cold all of the sudden outside.  Seriously... whaaaat happened to fall??  I am NOT ready for you yet, winter.   Not cool.

Anywaaaaay.... We met up and took a stroll around Castle Island - one of my favorite places to be.    Meet Nick!

Michaela, Kevin and adorable Grier!

Some people come into your lives and you just know they will be there forever..   It was no different for Michaela and I.  We met in college and became immediate friends.  (It has nothing to do with the fact that there were FOUR other people in all of our classes at the time... FOUR.  Should have been a sign to change majors?).  She is just one of those people who asks you how things are and truly and honestly listens and cares about every word.  Now 9 years later, I am still so lucky to call Mic one of my best friends.  From the crazy college years, to standing up there for each others weddings, to starting her beautiful family....

I remember when Michaela and Kevin met.  I think they stayed on the phone for like 18 hours or something crazy the first time they talked.  And I'm not surprised one bit... they are so good for each other.  And it's no exaggeration by saying Kevin is one of the nicest guys out there.  Just so good to Mic and to their adorable little daughter, Grier.

Now.... up until days before her baby shower, Grier was supposedly a boy.  They were announcing the big surprise at the shower.  As the day got close, Michaela asked the doctor to confirm the sex "because my husband is not convinced it's a boy."    "Wait... who told you it was a boy??"   ..................    ummm....

Now meet beautiful little Grier.  All 100% perfect little girl!!

Abby is growing up (soo fast!)

I'm so in love with my niece, Abby.  I think she's just absolute perfection (well.. because she is).  You will all be seeing A LOT of her over the years.   This was her debut here.  It's crazy to me when I look at those pictures how much she's changed in the first few months!  She's  7 months now and it's such a fun age.  (But really, Bean... #1 you need to slow down!  Time is just going way too fast for my liking. and #2 I still plan on calling you Bean even when you're old enough to be embarrassed by your super cool aunt).  Life flies by and blurs into this crazy thing we call life.  And I want to just freeze it here and remember little Bean just like this.  And to remember watching all the new things she learns everyday.  She's all smiles and laughs and it just makes me so happy.  Not to mention seeing Mike and Kristin be such amazing parents to her... I love it.  They are just naturals and Abby instantly lights up around them.  That's what it's all about.

Garvin Family Cousins!

Pink and green plaid and a whole lot of adorable!

Showing up and seeing a sea of pink and green plaid and pink bows 100% made me day...not gonna lie.   Viki asked me to shoot pictures of her kids, Maeve and Brendan and their five cousins for Christmas!  I was excited...  And totally up for the challenge of shooting seven kids at once.  SEVEN.  Yup.   So I headed over to Viki's house on a gorgeous fall Saturday morning not too long ago.  We just took a stroll with the kids around the lake and they were awesome.  They really just wanted to go check out the ducks or skip rocks in the water but were great at humoring me and my camera.  This is a yearly tradition for these kids and I'm so glad to have been a part of this year.  It was so nice to meet you all!
